How it works

  1. 1

    Upload

Drop a FedEx shipping label PDF or image. It stays on your device.

  2. 2

    Pick output size

Choose 4×6 thermal, A6, half-page sticker, or any custom size.

  3. 3

    Resize & download

We re-render the label at the new size and hand back a fresh PDF.

FedEx Ship Manager and fedex.com print labels on 8.5 × 11 Letter (or A4) pages with the label occupying the top half. For thermal printers, pick 4 × 6 in and the “Crop top-half” fit mode. FedEx Web Services PDFs that already export at 4 × 6 work best on the “Fit” mode.

FedEx label resizing — FAQ

How do I print a FedEx 8.5 × 11 label on a 4 × 6 thermal printer?

Upload the FedEx PDF, choose 4 × 6 as the output, and pick "Crop top-half". FedEx Ship Manager prints the actual label in the top half of a Letter page; this preset extracts it for thermal printers.

Does this work with FedEx Ship Manager and FedEx Web Services?

Yes — any FedEx PDF works: Ship Manager, fedex.com, FedEx Web Services / SOAP, plus eBay / Etsy / Shopify FedEx and third-party tools (ShipStation, Easyship, Sendle).

Will FedEx scanners still read the barcode?

Yes. PDFs are re-rendered from their vector source, so both the 1D PRO barcode and the 2D MaxiCode / PDF417 stay sharp and scannable.

Can I batch-resize multiple FedEx labels?

Yes. Upload a multi-page FedEx PDF and the tool resizes every page at once, returning a single PDF with all labels in your chosen size.

Is the label uploaded?

No. Everything runs in the browser via pdf-lib and pdf.js. The PDF stays on your device.

How to Use FedEx Label Resizer

To resize a FedEx shipping label, upload your FedEx PDF label file. FedEx Ship Manager and FedEx Office generate labels embedded in 8.5×11 inch Letter PDFs. This tool crops the 4×6 label region and rescales it to fit thermal label printers without manual adjustments.

Choose your output format — standard 4×6 thermal, A6, or a custom size — and click Resize. The processed PDF is generated in your browser and ready to download. Print it directly on your thermal label printer. This eliminates the need to manually adjust printer settings each time you print a FedEx label.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does this tool work with FedEx international shipping labels? expand_more

Yes. The tool works with any FedEx PDF label regardless of service type — FedEx Ground, Express, International, One Rate, and others — as long as the label is in standard PDF format.

Can I resize FedEx labels created in ShipStation or Shopify? expand_more

Yes. Any FedEx label generated as a PDF — whether from FedEx directly, ShipStation, Shopify Shipping, or other platforms — can be resized with this tool.

What if the FedEx label has multiple pages? expand_more

Multi-page PDFs are processed page by page. Each page is resized individually and the output PDF contains all resized labels ready to print.

Will resizing affect the FedEx tracking barcode? expand_more

No. The label is scaled proportionally so all barcodes and text remain intact and scannable. The resizing does not crop or distort any label content.

Is this tool free to use? expand_more

Yes. The FedEx Label Resizer is completely free. There are no file limits, no sign-up requirements, and no watermarks on the output.
