FedEx Ship Manager and fedex.com print labels on 8.5 × 11 Letter (or A4) pages with the label occupying the top half. For thermal printers, pick 4 × 6 in and the "Crop top-half" fit mode. FedEx Web Services PDFs that already export at 4 × 6 work best on the "Fit" mode.

FedEx label resizing — FAQ

▶ How do I print a FedEx 8.5 × 11 label on a 4 × 6 thermal printer?

Upload the FedEx PDF, choose 4 × 6 as the output, and pick "Crop top-half". FedEx Ship Manager prints the actual label in the top half of a Letter page; this preset extracts it for thermal printers.

▶ Does this work with FedEx Ship Manager and FedEx Web Services?

Yes — any FedEx PDF works: Ship Manager, fedex.com, FedEx Web Services / SOAP, plus eBay / Etsy / Shopify FedEx and third-party tools (ShipStation, Easyship, Sendle).

▶ Will FedEx scanners still read the barcode?

Yes. PDFs are re-rendered from their vector source, so both the 1D PRO barcode and the 2D MaxiCode / PDF417 stay sharp and scannable.

▶ Can I batch-resize multiple FedEx labels?

Yes. Upload a multi-page FedEx PDF and the tool resizes every page at once, returning a single PDF with all labels in your chosen size.

▶ Is the label uploaded?

No. Everything runs in the browser via pdf-lib and pdf.js. The PDF stays on your device.
