How to Use Spin the Wheel

To spin the wheel, enter your options into the text area — one option per line. The wheel updates in real time to show a coloured segment for each entry. Click the Spin button and the wheel animates with a realistic spinning physics effect, gradually slowing to land on a random winner.

The winning segment is announced below the wheel after each spin. You can add or remove entries at any time to update the wheel. This tool is great for classroom activities, team decision-making, restaurant choices, giveaways, and any situation where a fun and visual random selection is needed.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the spin result truly random? expand_more

Yes. The landing position is determined using a cryptographically random number generator before the animation starts. The spinning animation is purely visual — the winner is already chosen when you click Spin.

Can I add the same option multiple times to increase its chance? expand_more

Yes. Adding an option multiple times gives it multiple segments on the wheel, proportionally increasing its probability of being selected. For example, adding 'Option A' three times and other options once each gives Option A a 3-in-N chance of winning.

How many options can I add to the wheel? expand_more

You can add as many options as you want. With many options, the segments become narrow and labels may be abbreviated. A practical limit for readability is around 20–30 options.

Can I remove an option after it wins? expand_more

Yes. You can delete the winning option from the list to create an elimination-style draw where each spin removes the winner from future rounds.

Does the wheel remember my options? expand_more

Options remain in the text area during your current browser session. They are not saved between sessions — re-enter them next time you visit, or bookmark the page with your options pre-filled if the URL updates.
