By accessing or using Butter Tools at butter-tools.com ("the Service"), operated by HRS Tech LLC ("we", "us", "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
Butter Tools provides free, browser-based utility tools including but not limited to PDF editors, text manipulators, image converters, developer utilities, calculators, SEO tools, and emoji libraries. All tool processing occurs locally in your browser. No files, documents, or user-generated content are transmitted to or stored on our servers.
3. Use of the Service
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not:
- Violate any applicable local, national, or international law or regulation
- Infringe the intellectual property rights of any third party
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service or its infrastructure
- Introduce malicious code, viruses, or other harmful material
- Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or overload the Service in a way that impairs availability for other users
The Service is provided for personal and professional use. Commercial redistribution of the Service's output under the Butter Tools brand without permission is not permitted.
4. Intellectual Property
The Butter Tools name, logo, design, and underlying code are the intellectual property of HRS Tech LLC. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works of the Service itself without our written permission.
Content you process through our tools (your documents, images, text, etc.) remains entirely your own. We make no claim over any content you upload, input, or generate using the Service.
5. Third-Party Services
The Service may use third-party libraries (e.g., PDF processing libraries) that run in your browser. We also integrate Google Analytics and Meta Pixel for analytics and marketing purposes — both are subject to your cookie consent preferences. See our Privacy Policy for details.
6. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT ANY WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of any tool output. You use the Service and rely on its output entirely at your own risk.
Tool outputs (e.g., converted files, calculations, generated text) should be independently verified before use in professional or critical contexts.
7. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, HRS TECH LLC AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING FROM:
- Your use or inability to use the Service
- Any content processed or generated by the Service
- Unauthorised access to or alteration of your transmissions or data
- Any third-party conduct on or through the Service
Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service shall not exceed USD $10.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless HRS Tech LLC and its affiliates from any claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Service or your violation of these Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in New York, NY.
